Norfolk welcomes gourmet cupcakes, with a twist
Timed to coincide with Valentine’s Day, beautifully packaged cupcakes are offered in traditional and “spiked” flavors. Last Fall, their “Hard Lemonade” cupcake was featured in a photo spread in Modern Bride magazine, establishing them as the area’s gold standard. Sales begin with frosting shots and mini cupcakes Thursday January 28. Weekly hours of operation are Mon.-Thur. 11-6, Fri-Sat 10-7, Sun 12-6. Look for the kiosk on the lower level in front of Victoria’s Secret, Express and Express Men. Flavors include: Strawberry Daiquiri frosting shots, “spiked” minis in 3-packs of Kahlua and Cream, Pink Champagne and Chocolatini. Unspiked flavors are Almond I Do, Chocolate Fix and Reese Cup with jumbo-sized cupcakes available in any flavor listed above. Custom orders are not accepted at the kiosk but orders placed at the Chesapeake location, in person or by phone, are eligible for pickup in Norfolk with 48 hours advance notice.
